Patent Search History: Build a Research Log You Can Revisit
Editorial archive: · 4 min read
Explore your invention with SI Patent Search
Research becomes harder when you cannot remember which description produced which suggestion. A saved search history helps separate versions of your question and revisit the context behind a result. It is an organizational benefit, not evidence that a patent search was exhaustive.
What is saved for signed-in users
GetQuickPatent saves authenticated searches with the query, date, model and previous analysis. The page shows recent searches in a clean list so you can reopen earlier results across sessions. Guest searches should not be relied on as a persistent account history.
Viewing and re-running are different
Opening a saved entry lets you review the previous analysis without a new SI search. The re-run control restores the query for another submission; submitting again follows the current free allowance or paid-credit rules. Previous results may differ from a fresh analysis.
Add a separate evidence log
Record actual publication numbers and document URLs outside the SI results, along with passages or drawings worth revisiting. Mark whether each source has been read or merely suggested. This prevents a plausible generated lead from later being mistaken for a verified document.
Give every new query a purpose
One search can explore the mechanism; another can focus on mounting, controls or an alternative configuration. Compare the recorded queries rather than only their scores. History makes iteration more deliberate, particularly when each paid pack contains two searches.
GetQuickPatent provides preliminary SI research, not verified patent matches, an exhaustive prior-art search, a patentability opinion or legal advice. Review actual documents and consult a registered patent attorney or agent for legal questions.
